Update: Baby born prematurely after Ofra bus stop shooting attack dies

Scene of drive-by Ofra bus stop shooting.

After managing to evacuate the pregnant mother from the scene, doctors took her to the Shaare Zedek Hospital where they performed an emergency delivery of the baby at 30 weeks.

The boy’s delivery was a success and the doctors considered him to be in a stable condition, however, his condition quickly worsened.

Doctors claimed the infant was being treated in the neonatal intensive care unit, hooked up to a ventilator.  The doctors further feared the potential of brain damage the infant may have suffered during the attack.

The IDF is entering their fourth straight day of searching for the terrorist.

Upon learning about the baby’s death, the Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, has expressed his determination to catch the killer, vowing to do so.
